Ive been in the sourdough making bizzz for maybe 2 months at this point and I am obsessed. I’ve been trying to make more mix in loaves, and made this loaf for the first time yesterday and she is so freaking good. I’ll be adding the recipe to the comments, however I would love to hear your ideas about how I can make it better ☺️

  1. Sourdough recipe:

    1 cup of starter
    1 1/2 cup warm water
3 cups of KAF bread flour
    2tbsp salt
    1/2 tbsp garlic powder
    1/2 tbsp onion powder
    1/4 cup caramelized onions
    1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Add water and starter and mix thoroughly. Slowly incorporate flour to make a shaggy dough. Cover bowl with Saran Wrap and Kitchen towel.
Rest 1 hour in warm spot.

Salt the dough ( I do about 2 TBSP) and 1/2 TBSP garlic powder, 1/2 TBSP onion start to stretch & fold the dough.

After 30 minutes: Repeat 4 stretches and recover

Rest for 8 hours on countertop. Start lamination and shaping process. Once into a rectangle, added both caramelized onions and shredded cheddar cheese. Making sure that onions are are dry as possible using a paper towel to pat out some moisture. Sprinkled throughout.

Once dough is shaped, place in banneton basket overnight in the fridge covered by a towel. 8-10 hours.

Remove and add to parchment paper, cut with serated knife or razor blade.
Oven set to 450°, preheated with Dutch oven inside. Added 2 ice cubes to Dutch oven after placing dough inside.
Baked lid on for 27 minutes, lid off for 23.
