I'm learning how to make gyozas. I made to different ones. Ones is the regular way and the other is rose. I was also wondering if there was different ways to fold the edges

I went to Hong Kong for uni and once made dumplings (jiaozi) with a bunch of mainlanders and it seems they have a ton of ways to fold them depending where you’re from in China! I’m sure if you Google it you can find a lot of guides.
For me the classic it’s already enough effort 😆

Those are beautiful, but it’s a better shape for a steamed or boiled dumpling to me, since there is less surface room for a crispy sear. I’d choose shape based on how you intend to eat them.

If you make the dough from scratch and add some natural food coloring. You can make pink rose dumplings.

A bit thick texturally but visually appealing.
Awesome!
