Hawaiian Pizza Skewers | Chef Tom X All Things Barbecue

We realize Spam isn’t on top of everyone’s favorite dishes (hint: you can also use ham on this one), but we always enjoy showing you how to achieve balanced flavor and texture with any dish, so Hawaiian Pizza Skewers is great for that. With grilled pineapple, cheese, toasted bread, Japanese barbecue sauce, and of course the Hawaiian favorite – Spam, this one will surprise you. Plus, it’s simple to make and goes well over a bed of rice or noodles. Seriously, this is a “Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it” dish. Don’t miss out!

  1. Spam ??? A cured ham would have worked. I'm from Brooklyn we don't even view fruit on pizza beside tomato sauce. And yes tomato is a fruit. Good job Tom I'm gonna try this and tag u.

  2. I've seen just about all of your videos, question though, why not chunks of smoked ham or pork belly fat? Spam threw me off 🤷🏻

  3. Personally, if you are going to all the effort to make a nice organized skewer I'd leave it on, but sauce it towards the end of cooking. Would really glaze the sauce on. Otherwise I think it would work out better using a perforated half pan and toss everything in loose so the cheese can be pulled out sooner.
