The cake recipe is honestly great on its own, but I love adding the zest of half an orange (no more, or it will become overpowering) and a teaspoon of Chinese five spice to enhance the flavour! It’s honestly such a crowd-pleaser! I’ll need to try the brown butter sometime.
Anyways, happy birthday, and enjoy your delicious (and amazing looking) cake!
