Silly post, hope the cheese afficionados here don't mind!
I ordered from my favourote local Italian restaurant and got a classic margarita as usual. I noticed some of the mozzarella looked different to usual and assumed it just hadn't melted so put it in the oven for a few more minutes. It remained the same! So I ate it and still couldn't quite figure out if it was mozzarella because the consistency and flavour weren't typical of mozzarella. I wondered if the restaurant had switched suppliers or something, and having cooked a lot with mozzarella I know it varies in texture sometimes. But still i wonder if it's a different cheese that was either used accidentally or if they've sneakily subbed something else in, maybe because it was about to expire. What does this look like, cheese fans? It's a bit tangy and similar in texture to feta.
