Welcome back to Marie’s Kitchen! I’m so glad you’re here! We made it to 100K subscribers! 🎉 Thank you so much for your support! 💖

In the beginning, my mom was the only one who watched this channel. (She put the shows on repeat so I could get more views, lol.) She passed away three years ago, so she’s not here to celebrate 100K. But I know she’s watching from above and is absolutely thrilled that the channel is actually working out! 🤩 Thank you all for making this dream a reality.

In her honor, today we’re making my mom’s classic pot roast, a family favorite from my childhood. It’s tender and juicy — steeped in red wine, garlic and herbs — surrounded by mushrooms, onions, and carrots. Served over wide egg noodles or mashed potatoes, it’s the most delicious dinner!

As always, thank you for watching. Let me know if you have comments or questions — I’m happy to help! ❤️, Marie

  1. Ooh…first to comment! 🙂 have a great week, Marie!!
Our friend has offered us an Elk roast so I will use that for this recipe. I've never had Elk but he said it's less gamey than Venison or Moose…which we enjoy both.

  2. I went to where the arrow points to for the recipe and it says the recipe isn’t there😮

  3. This recipe looks so good Marie! I usually make my pot roast in a crockpot for 6 hours or so but your suggestion of oven baking and noodles sounds great too. I do braise it on both sides as you did but keep my carrots/celery/potatoes mostly whole. What a great fall meal and save some for Coco Puff..

  4. Awe I wish your mom could see how you’ve grown on your channel ! I’m sure she’s looking down and how proud she must be of you !!
