5 pm Saturday, Sept 21, counter seat. I look forward to dining here again! I arrived with a very low phone battery, they were kind enough to charge it for me, hence no pictures of the early part of the meal. I dined alone; it was nice to be present.
Egg & caviar – my favorite dish. I would’ve liked two. Beautiful too. In one of the pics you see them preparing the caviar on slate.
Mulhwe – pineapple but not too sweet, I think he mentioned lavender too
Crispy monkfish – take on fish & chips. The fish was perfect, thin batter coating. The potato spiral on a skewer was difficult to remove from skewer to eat. You see them plating this dish in photos.
From there it moved to hand rolls, everything had a lot going on. I know my descriptions aren’t complete:
Salmon – marinated, very tasty
Fluke – Mediterranean flavors. Outstanding.
Bibimbap
Hamachi – foam
Spicy Tuna – a staple, great texture and heat. I was given a small beverage after to cool things down!
Galbi – again, great texture/chew, a bit sweet. Lovely.
Plumcot – pretty, light, sour
Truffle Jjajangmyun – main dish, photo. Noodles in sauce, the pork was tender and perfectly seasoned. I skipped the wagyu substitution.
Two desserts pictured – the pear sorbet was my favorite, both were delicious.
Beverages – I started with Yangchon ChungJu Rice Wine and then a dry Riesling.
Great meal, service, experience.
