So I just got this new pit and I’ve always grilled in that area next to my house where the tile is at But I’m starting to think it’s too close to the stucco wall.
I’ve thought about pouring a slab of concrete against the fence next to my covered area. The thing is 3/8 thick so it’s heavy as hell and moving it over the grass is a 2 man job.
I feel like I have 3 options
Cook where the pit is currently (I have an overhang where I can move the pit to keep it out of the rain – pic 1 & pic5 shows where I keep it during weather and when off).
Pour a slab of concrete on the left of the Gazeebo that is connected so I can also move it underneath when it rains. (pic2)
Put Pavers on the right of the gazebo to use that empty area. (I do think my neighbors would complain if all the smoke went to their side – pic3)

Perfect spot in the first pic
That looks like a prime spot.
I think it’s just fine next to the house buddy.
First pic is what I would do…
Yeah the first pic is fine , it’s not vinyl siding or anything .
Put it under the pergola.
Get rid of the rocking chair for starters.
Get a 4-6 seat dining table and place it out there and a fridge if you have power out there.
That’s what i would do.
You can’t convince me this isn’t a troll post lmao
I would not move it away from the stucco house closer to the wood fence and gazebo
The 4th pic with the bbq in the garage 😂 I hope you’re trolling haha! Unless your just storing it in there for now
Option 1 seems best to me
Personally, I like the bbq closer to the house rather than further for convenience. If I need something, I might have forgotten in the kitchen like spices or bbq sauce brush.
As far as a safe distance from heat or smoke, your location is fine.
What brand is it?
lol what the fuck
Would fit the best second pic
Like the location of it in picture 2
Are we just showing off our new grill?
Stucco? Should be fine.
I like it by the house . Out there on the grass by the wood fence is asking for a fire department visit .
Mine is closer than that and it has never caused any concern or smoke staining, etc.
Mines closer to the house ha
Wait where’s your fire box?!
First picture is fine where it is. People like to act like the grill needs to be in the middle of a 100 square yard block of concrete for it to be safe but it’s really not that big of a deal.
My grill is on the opposite side closer to the house in the first pic. 15yrs not 1 problem
the house will be find depending on your grilling skills 😂😂
Personally, I would put the Que under the pergola towards the back against the fence and remove the swing. Take the swing apart and hang it from the pergola to give yourself an outdoor-ish kitchen.
It looks like it may just be a single 2×6 across the top but add a second behind it for strength.
My two cents 😎
Looks fine.
This looks almost exactly like my uncles house. What he did was build a stone oven and built in smoker like in an island kind of way.
I call shenanigans. You just wanted a reason to post pictures of your badass smoker!!
I like the convenience of the placement in the last picture. That’s where I would keep it.
I would pour a new slab of concrete for that baby off the side of your pergola!
Until then, side of the house looks fine enough.
Looks fine where it is, why would it be too close? As long as you aren’t lighting it with gasoline or other combustible liquids it will be ok
I’m just here to say I like your photoshop skills lol. Do another where it’s on the roof
I cracked up with the other spots. Thank you.
Honestly i dont see anything wrong with the last option. I usually bring my smoker indoors for the colder months. As long as you buy an air purifier it removes all of the toxins
Looks fine to me!
Put it under the shelter
Tbh I think you should put it in the house, however, first pic looks just right.
Turn your man card in.
if it’s a house you plan to stay with- do what makes your heart happy….
build a small tiki hut away from all the other structures- run electric and water to it, have a mini fridge and a bar set up, tv/ sound system and enough bar space and stools for your cool friends to hang out at
Looks like all those pesky chairs are taking up a lot of room on the dedicated slab you already poured
10ft is rule
