The new Parachute is a fresh twist on bar food and is such a delight. I really cannot express not only how good the food is but the service at both Parachute and Anelya are unmatched in the city. Everything Chef Beverly Kim and Chef Johnny does is outstanding and I hope folks continue to support them!

One of my favorite meals in the city to date. Can’t wait to try their new menu.

Did you happen to take a pic of the new menu? It’s not up on their site yet

Interesting, Ill have to give it a try. We might be the only people that had a really bad experience there previously and I’ve been wanting to give it another try.

I’m going to be honest. I was not very impressed when I went there for my birthday. The night was great, they printed me a happy birthday menu, service was wonderful. The food was just ok though. I honestly don’t remember much of it.

I’m a bit curious about the bing bread being back. I’m happy to see it because it’s such a freaking delicious dish. But Beverly and Johnny were previously very open about how the labor and financials of making the bread didn’t make sense. [In an article with Eater ](https://www.eater.com/23156888/parachute-restaurant-bing-bread-remove-menu-pricing)they said the cost to make the bing bread pre-pandemic came out to $14.37. And that after the pandemic, when they included increased food costs and their own efforts to increase their employees wages, the bread would have cost at least $21.77 to make. So they took it off the menu because they just didn’t think it was practical for them and their employees or priced well for their customers.

But now they have it back on their menu at $14 which is below the cost to make it according to them. So I wonder what’s different or changed? Is it maybe just a smaller portion than it was before? Or I know it’s only available one day a week, so maybe that significantly lowers costs by not having to make it day-in and day-out? Or maybe it’s a loss-leader to drive business on a slower mid-week night? Or maybe they’ve just changed their business and employee wage model since they seem to be focused more on being a bar than a high end restaurant now?

Not trying to be critical or negative or anything – just curious. Anyway, I’m very excited to check out the updated concept.

Soooooo excited. Had some of the best service in years at Anelya a couple weeks ago. What a knowledgeable team over there. Continuously impressive. Can’t wait to try Hi-Fi

I was bummed when I realized I couldn’t go to Parachute a while back, and switched my plans to Anelya, which was completely phenomenal! I’m still excited to check out Parachute now, but couldn’t recommend Anelya more highly as well!

Is this place worth checking into for a vegetarian?

Never went to the original Parachute but love the vibe here. It’s the kind of place you can ball out at, or just come for a drink and a bite and not break the bank. Definitely will be going a lot

Their smores bingsoo during restaurant week this year was one of the best I’ve ever had, would give Sulbing a run for their money.
