Wanted to try using my discard so I figured why not try something I’ve never tried before (pretzels) with something I’ve never tried before (discard). And while we’re at it, why not double the recipe. I had some mistakes but all in all it was a fun learning opportunity and they don’t taste bad. I’d prob use a diff salt next time (and I’d make sure I doubled every ingredient—-didn’t double melted butter)
I def have a metallic taste and I had read that can be due to the baking soda boil. Could also be the Celtic mineral salt I used
