I did the math so you wouldn’t have to. Definitely better to buy the ingredients for this recipe than say, “other” things. This recipe is easy and very fun with all the ingredients complimenting one another. You can also leave one of them out if you aren’t ready to get adventurous. It’ll still be fire!

Grocery List:
– 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts
– 4 slices bacon
– 4 cloves garlic
– 2 large shallots
– 1/4 cup pecans (whole or chopped)
– 4 tbsp bacon fat (from the cooked bacon)
– 4 tbsp balsamic glaze
– 2 tbsp honey
– 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
– 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying shallots)
– Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
– Red pepper flakes (optional)
– Fresh thyme leaves (optional)

  1. Looks great. I grew to love brussel sprouts years ago just by cutting them and roasting them and adding a little parmesan cheese in the end with some balsamic vinegar. Great with fried potatoes and pork chops.

  2. Crispy fried shallots make everything better. I usually add them to wraps and salads to liven them up.
