    FYI you should not store with the rings on. If there is any question I would discard? If the other jars you canned do not have the white substance just discard the one that does. Ensure you followed tested recipe.

    Storing with the rings on means that you have no way to know if these jars have stayed sealed for as long as they’ve been stored. I wouldn’t eat them because of that alone, but that’s just me.

  5. From picture? No. I am not scared or pictures of jars. You did not provide any info on recipes, procedures or anything else.
