I don’t normally go to Sobeys so I might be late to the game here but this brought back so many memories! They had ketchups chips and tortilla chips as well.

Did it use to be a thing? I went to a 90’s themed popup near Queen St west, they were giving out samples there

  2. Not afraid to admit I ate 2/3 of a bag on Sunday afternoon and finished the rest of it for Monday’s breakfast

  3. I loved them as a kid, but I thought they were only chips back then?

Saw them in store at Metro & Freshco for $3 each and most of the options and flavours were popcorn or tortillas. I believe that ketchup was the only potato chip (it tasted good, but a bit more sweet than tangy).

I tried the BBQ…. It was ok (Lay’s Okd Fashion BBQ is also a close second). Almost close to what it used to be. I’m trying to find the sour cream and onion flavour…. That’s the one I miss the most.

Their no name brand used to taste like the bbq and the sour cream but they changed it a while back so I stopped buying it.

I’ve got a bag of bbq waiting in the pantry. Looking forward to snack time.

I tried the ketchup ones, I’ll give them a 7.5/10 for texture and flavour

As a naturalized Canadian, should I get these to fit in better? I’ve never seen or heard of these in the ten years I’ve been here.

Soooo much flavor. This is a must for all dressed lovers

Guess that explains why there were Hostess mascots in the big red canoe you can see from the Gardiner near Cityplace

Do they have the BBQ flavour. That and Humpty Dumpty BBQ were my favourites.

They had some sort of throwback shop near downtown where you can walk in for free and you enter into a timecapsule from 1996. They even had the old bags of Munchies (something I haven’t seen in damn near 15 years) along with complimentary chips. Was a fun pit stop.

Are these munchies-style chips, though? With the potato pulp shaped into a chip? Vs a cut potato slice.

I loved Hostess BBQ as a kid but they weren’t Munchies.

How come it doesn’t say Dressed all over & Zesty Mordant, that’s the best part!
