Seems like a ripe jalapeño, a bit off in shape tho. Jalapeños can be red. They’re a step before turning into chipotle peppers

How many points are on the green stem where the pepper meets the stem? I’ve grown several pepper plants, and this definitely seems to be a pepper that has been stunted. This could be a Fresno, sweet red, Jalapeño, or really any variety that matures red. I’ll take a wild guess that it is a cross pollinated Fresno chili pepper
