This is my go to sandwich from Primanti. Pastrami stacked with fries, tomatoes, on thick sliced white bread with order of coleslaw on the side.

I love slaw on a lot of sandwiches. A Ruben with slaw swapped is amazing.

It’s good, but tbh not on the sandwiches you presented. The pastrami couldn’t stand up against it. And, the slaw looks bland and boring.
A good exciting slaw on a rich BBQ pulled pork sandwich on brioche is great

My mom loves her a good BBQ pulled pork sandwich topped with coleslaw! ❤

I live near Pittsburgh. I love a Primanti’s Roast Beed sandwich, loaded with slaw and fries. Yum. Not for everyone, though.

My old local place did a roasted turkey with provolone and slaw. It was such a perfect sandwich. It’s the only thing I miss about that entire town

Slaw can keep in the fridge when you’re not good at remembering you have veggies.
As a younger man, I often got the raw slaw bags so I had a better chance of not throwing it all out. I substituted it in tacos and sandwiches, particularly baked Italian or turkey provolone sandwiches I made in the oven.
In both cases, the slaw was stirred with a little italian dressing before being added.
I like it. I think it adds something over lettuce in the right cases.

Love. It holds up better to dressing/condiments and doesn’t get as soggy as lettuce.
Chinese Cabbage makes for the best hybrid IMO

I’m for it!

Primanti’s slaw is meh but they’ll frill the bread if you ask.

I love it.

Corned beef specials. One of my favorites that I only am able to get every once in a blue moon. Corned beef, Cole slaw, Russian dressing, (sometimes cheese) on rye bread.

You just made me want to drive out and go to the OG Primanti’s

I’ve had slaw on several sandwiches and they are always better for it. Pulled pork and Turkey Rachel are no brainer. I used to work next to a Whole Foods and they had a spicy shrimp po’ boy topped with slaw and it was legitimately one of the best sandwiches I have ever had.
