First time growing cauliflower… does this look normal? Safe to eat?

    The brown bits might be from pests. We have a no brown rule in our house. I would cut off the brown and cook it.

  2. That’s normal- it’s starting to wilt. Just cut it off. Or eat it, it’s fine

    The reason you don’t see this on store bought cauliflower is because they spray it like crazy. Just cut around it and you’ll be just fine…

    Store bought cauliflower would be protected from light to keep it white and pretty. Yours looks fine, unless you find any spots insects damaged, just cut those off

  5. Looks fine. Next time you can fold some of its leaves over the head once it starts to shape. That way it will have less discoloring.

    Its over-ripe and has developed a “ricey” look to it. Safe to eat, but not ideal.

    Cover it up with cheese and butter.
