Asparagus
Hello, first time here!
So I’ve had a bunch of asparagus growing in five gallon pots for several years now. I’m finally in a home where I plant to stay for a longggg time and want to put them in the ground. This spot would be great IF it works. It gets full blasting sun from mid April til about mid to late September. But as the sun dips lower and lower, it will be shaded by this big tree. May get an hour or two in the morning and then another hour in the afternoon, but I’m not positive on that. So all winter and part of spring and fall will be pretty shady. Will this work?
If it’s a dumb idea, I would appreciate some ideas for veg that could do ok here. I did melons here in the spring and summer and they did fabulous. The soil in incredible. Thank in advance!
P.s. don’t judge the clutter please, still newly moved sorta and have a lot of things taking priority over the cleanliness of the garden. It’s not permanent!
