  1. Orders the most expensive steak and proceeds to ask them to ruin it. She should be embarrassed for wasting his money.

  2. infamoussanchez

well, all i know is that i will talk tonmy gf about these things. i will make sure we’re both in the same page when ordering and avoiding embarrassment.

While that is a dickish thing to do by your man, eating the leanest cut of beef there is brown in the center disgusts me😭 like if you’re gonna char the shit out of your cut order a $15 10-12oz sirloin or something not the $30-40 fillet!

  4. Joshstradaymus

Contrary to her username, Hayley is indeed not cool.

    Poor girl…

And what a shit boyfriend, like dude, I get you don’t like well done meat, but there’s no need to get EMBARRASSED by it, much less LEAVE THE PLACE, at most just judge silently and let her enjoy the meal.

People are too damn precious. Have your steak how you like it and let others do the same. If they wanna waste an expensive fillet is their money and their choice – have at it.

  7. Been on a date with promised sex. The food and drinks were just a way to waste time until roommate left. Went to a nice steakhouse and she pulled the well done card. Worst bj ever. Too much chewing.

  8. I feel bad for the girl. Let her eat a steak the way she likes it. I remember on Hells Kitchen or whatever cooking contest Gordon Ramsey starred in they would have to cook a filet rare, medium and well done. And you had to make the well done steak come out juicy. Some people like it like that, I’d give em grief jokingly but really let’s not take this too seriously. He owes her an apology, and then maybe cook her a medium filet to show her the difference

Can’t be much of an argument. She’s still chewing.

If my lady ordered a well done steak I’d probably be embarrassed too. It’s nothing to make a scene over though. He should make her steaks at home one day, a med rare and a well done, and do a blind taste test.

Everyone has a right to be wrong, but even with that order your steak anyway you like. I just personally would never cook a steak for you, it would break my heart to ruin a good steak. But in public order what makes you happy.

How do you date someone for a year and not know this about them?

  13. The_OtherGuy_99

Somebody posted a chit on the Kitchen Confidential sub where they asked for well done with juice added at the end.

If I ordered my steak well done I would Also request juice be added.

That being said, let people be people.

Not like she ordered rare pork at a kosher restaurant.

    Dude is a fuck head.

  14. YoungBockRKO

My wife orders her filet rare. If she ordered well done, well… idk if that ass is worth putting up with lifelong disappointment. And it’s a nice ass

  15. Bluetickhoun

I went with my wife to her best friends husbands bday dinner. He ordered his streak well done also. I just made eyes contact and said ‘why’. Lol. I said it, didn’t ask it. I got the stare down from the wife. Ha

  16. PandorasFlame1

Deal breaker. She can buy her own fillet.

  17. BeardedManatee

Not sure I would’ve left but it is definitely a huge cliche no-no to order the nice steak, or really any steak at a restaurant, well-done. Medium is probably the ceiling.

That said, they will just laugh about it in the kitchen, the cook will quip something about “when I walk out there I better see a five year old eating it”, and that will be that. Not worth leaving and ruining the night, just laugh at your uncultured gf and smile and say something like “ohhh you”.

  18. My question is how did the relationship get to a year without him knowing she wants her meat burnt. I learned like on the first date that my now wife doesn’t eat poultry or white pork, she’ll do ham, bacon and sausage, but no ribs or loin.

On the steak front as least, I’ve slowly moved her from medium to the rarer side of medium rare. Thats where I usually like it, so it makes grilling a whole lot easier.

  19. BrettsArrow

This made me laugh lol that was pretty good

  20. PackageArtistic4239

I don’t blame him for getting embarrassed. There should be a degree of shame involved when one orders the most expensive steak and completely disrespects and destroys it. Guaranteed the kitchen made fun of you savagely and will laugh for years about it.
