Hi everyone,
I want to create a dessert that includes a fog that is trapped under a glass sugar dome and reveals the dessert below once the glass dome is broken for a special effect.
My issue right now is how to create the steam/fog/smoke for this that is food save, does not have much taste itself and can be easily used. The standard I found it dry ice, but since I do not have a way to store it multiple days (or would have to buy a very big amount for it to not evaporate within a day) this does not seem to be a very reliable option for me.
**Are there any other good methods to create such an effect? In my head I am thinking of a kind of vaporizer** (I know them for drinks/cocktails) **that could create a smoke for this, but I could not really find something good there.**
**Does some of you have some experience with it and knows how to create this?**
Background info:
The idea I got from a dessert from Christy Tania, which is not the dessert I want to make, but inspired me to try to create mist. I know that she created it with dry ice, but since I do not have a professional kitchen and the reasons above I do not have access to it.
