Met some long lost family for the first time. Made balsamic plum and wild blueberry pie with cardamom streusel for the occasion.
The filling is based on Sister Pie's balsamic plum and blueberry pie, and the top is a brown butter cardamom crumble. Balsamic glaze drizzled over the ice cream.
It went over well and we are buds now!

Oooooooh I made a Blueberry buckle and added cardamom to the crumble as well. Great minds think alike!

How can they be long lost when you’re making pies like that? What is wrong with them lol. I’d be round your place all the time, it sounds and looks delicious.
And it’s refreshing to see a less staid/traditional flavor too.
