Looks kinda rare but it tasted a lot more like medium rare. I’ve only eaten steaks at restaurants or steaks that other people cooked. I did it in a grill pan and I really liked it and other family members tried it and they said they really liked it too. I think I did pretty good for my first time ever.

Would have cooked just a tad more personally but it looks awesome.

Your lighting is incredibly poor to have a good look at this, but from what I can see, it looks good. Did you enjoy it? That’s really all that matters.

It’s hard to tell from the light but that looks almost perfect. There is a nice crust and no grey band. It might be a bit undercooked for some but I would happily destroy that. How long did you let it rest?

Thermometer. Get you one. Try all the different temperature ranges for all of the different steaks.

Figure out how you like each cut. Don’t let anyone gatekeep your preferences.

Prime example, I like my ribeyeyes cooked to medium, but my NY Strips cooked to medium-rare.

The fun part is the learning process

Next time add the secret ingredient: MSG. 😃
