I bake purely for leisure. Had a friend's birthday last month and I offered to bake the cake. Chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream. Used a little Liquor 43 and milk to soak it (adults only party). Was a challenge getting the surface flat, honestly still think it could have been smoother, but everyone was satisfied so I will take that as a win!
