Sitting in my living room, peaceful. Boom, crash. I think someone is breaking in, run to my kitchen with my mother and behold, she is dead. Rest in peace babes, you had a great but short lived run.
She will be missed. Thankfully, I have some of her discard left in the fridge. She has gathered some black hooch but I should be able to revive her. The journey shall continue.

Scrape it up! You can save some!
What happened?? Cat?
🥺🥺🥺
Oh no!!!! 😫
You could have saved here. Just a tiny tiny bit of the starter would be enough to revive the while thing
Not Angelina Doughlene! It should’ve been Bread Pitt!
Hopefully you have some dried for these kinds of calamities

Do you have any that didn’t hit the floor that you can save?
Also – I love my plastic Lexan container for my starter, Bready McBreadface
Oh now I’ll have Jolene by Dolly Parton stuck in my head all week again
My biggest fear about having one in the fridge. Did you dry some out before at least?
You can save that!!! You just need a little bit of starter!!
Oh No!!
So what? Why is it so popular? It’s a mixture of flour and water and a 2 cent mason jar. Mix up some flour and water again and get over it. Talk about dramatic people in this place🤣 And you even named your jar of flour and water? 🤣
What some people don’t know is that raising a starter from maturity takes love and so much attention. Not to mention, a lot of time. I’ve seen starters that actually overflow the jar and yeah it looks like a case of bad diarrhea. You have to feed it. You have to essentially change his diaper or take the discard out. And because there is such a personal investment there, it does become very personal so to name a jar of flour and water is an act of love. That day when the starter reaches full maturity and it’s time to go to work is something to be proud of. When you open up that Dutch oven for the first time and you see that beautiful ear, tears are not uncommon so I do feel your pain.
