Can’t share images on mobile for some reason, but I’ve gotten too many times to count the “volcano eruption” because I didn’t let the skin dry fully :/

That’s exactly how my first ones turned out. First and only, so far 😂

bro made discount crinkle cookies and thought we wouldn’t notice

  5. Could they have deflated because of a brutal change in temperature? It is often advised to let the meringues/macaron in the turned of oven for a while for this reason.

What did you end up doing with them?

Those look like mine. Quit copying my work.

That about to be the best tasting Eucharist

To be fair, I’ve never tried to make them bc of all the horror stories I’ve heard.

Though on baking competitions I see more people struggle with choux and puff pastry than macarons

At first I was like…”oh those pancakes look ready to flip”

I’ve done these before! I ended up rolling them into little roses and eating them like that

You get a ⭐️ for uniform sizing!

I didn’t take a picture, but once I baked them for so long because the stupid feet would not show themselves that while edible, they kinda glued to your teeth. 😭

That said, I’ve tied macarons from so many places and I guess I just don’t like them? I wanted to because they sounded fancy and spiffy and were all the rage, but they’re just so underwhelming to me. I guess that spares me from endless baking fails lol.

Add some seasoning, pop them in a Pringles can and say it was part of the plan.

I refuse to make macarons because I fail every single time. And I bake on a weekly basis ranging from breads, to cookies to sponge cake and I make them all quite well. But macarons? Hell no.

  16. Bought a mat 5 years ago. Still too intimidated to try
