Given how common people have been finding mold on Forager products, I wanted to ask if anyone else has seen these little black dots in the “kefir” bottle product. Is this mold? I took one sip and noticed them. There is no vanilla flavoring. Am I missing something? New to this product.

Could they be flecks of vanilla bean?

If they’re not micro bubbles, that is suspect. I wouldn’t eat it.

I’ve noticed this in the plain Forager yogurt too. I suspect they are flecks from processing coconut.

Probably tiny bits of coconut or cashew shell. You know how nuts and pieces of coconut have a tiny flake of soft shell membrane on them sometimes? I bet it’s that.

    I doubt their mold
I thought they were at one point and got rid of it but then realized it’s in every one I buy

No way they would sell it like that tbh

It’s likely part of the processing

You could always call the company and ask

Saw this as well in some Forager products. Assumed it was bits of the nuts from processing. Ate it and I’m still kicking

I also thought it was flecks of nuts or coconut skin from processing. I’ve seen it in many nut products.

I will agree that most Forager products I’ve tried do have flecks in them, they never seemed suspicious to me. That being said, I’m not a huge fan.

  9. Their unflavored yogurt always has black dots in it. It’s normal, not mold. Assuming the same for this.

I make a cultured cashew cream cheese that’s literally just raw cashews and probiotics, and I always have little flecks like this. I think it’s inevitable that cashews will have occasional little dark spots.

Forager product had a sudden drop in quality last year, we went from getting their yogurt regularly to completely cutting it out.
