i haven’t ordered from them lately. last time i got skirt steak and the package was ruptured. got something else and the meat was warm upon delivery.

Not even close. That fat cap is ridiculously large.
The cryovac seal has broken which has let in air and that leads to oxidation as well as flavor change. Not even a slight possibility I would buy that. I would probably take it to the butcher because there’s something wrong with that brisket and the smoking gun is the fact there’s air under the packaging.
Before I saw the title I thought of cow tongue. Those two cuts of meat should never look even remotely similar.
