Hey BGE community. Looking for some help on an issue I left to a bbq repair guy in my town.

I picked up this egg on marketplace and it needed a new gasket, which is easy enough. I hired this guy to take a stab at what used to be a slight underbite on the left side. He was working on it this afternoon while I was out of the house and I returned to it being mangled. Not sealed, shifted massively to the back to etc. to preserve the gasket from shifting further then it has I pulled the dome off.
Looking for some advice on what I may need to do to get this back to life.

Any help is appreciated.

  1. Replace the hinge and rings.

That’s the old style and he probably bent it and you are unlikely to fix it.

The new hinge is better in all ways.

  2. placated

I also have a BGE with a chronic underbite. I have the new hinges even. Followed BGEs directions to fix, tried a bunch of YouTube tutorials. Nothing works.
