Saw it all over the place online and thought it was cute so I made pumpkin shaped bread for my mom's wedding after-party, it's a family white bread recipe since it's the one I'm most familiar with. First time scoring bread too!!

I had some trouble with the strings being embedded in the bread, was I supposed to take them off for baking? Or maybe they were too tight? Either way I got them out and the crumbs were delicious so I'm optimistic 🍞

I made a pumpkin loaf the other day and had my strings get stuck too, I just snipped them and waited for it to cool and they pulled right out. I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be removed or not so I’ll wait here for someone else to answer that part lol

Did you lay out the strings in the banneton and then tie them after the final rise? Or????

    I oil my strings.
Then lay them out on parchment in the exact position I want them, then plop dough into centre, gently tie (I tie loosely, not indenting the dough, as when it rises in the oven it gives the shape) and I get very even sections each time 🙂

    You did good!
