Hi all, new to this community, just want to share my poor man’s sous vide machine using a sonoff waterproof temperature control (TH elite 16A)

$25 for the temperature control (u have a set point and it will turn the main power on/off of the rice cooker). The rice cooker is small (4 cup rice cooker) and uses induction , excellent insulation , I’m fairly certain given the small size and the even heating of the induction inner pot, the temperature is relatively uniform without a stirrer. At a setting of 140F, the control will turn on the rice cooker for 10 seconds every 10 minutes

Nice yeah I have a temp controller too and I did the same thing with an old school crock pot and temp controller before I had a sous vide.

Swear to god I thought that was a toilet bowl. But, admittedly, I’m not entirely sober/straight.

Just to be honest: At first glance, I thought that rice cooker was a toilet and was frightened for what I was about to read.

This is how I did sous vide in 2008. I put an aquarium pump in the water for circulation.
