According to camelcamelcamel that's the lowest price ever for Anova 3.0, is it worth it?

  1. lol, this is that happens when you screw over your most loyal customers and lose market share. Not one more penny to Anova.

I can’t answer about whether to buy this Anova as I have one that’s 3 years old. But read up on paying for the Anova app in order to use the appliance you just bought.

  3. I have an older model of the same cooker. It works great without the app. It requires a deep pot and is hard to pick up in one hand.

I will never buy an Anova product due to their subscription model

No. My wifi hasn’t worked on my Anova since I purchased it.

Yea….the ink bird is still cheaper with wifi and doesn’t have anova’s BS

Everyone complaining about the 10 dollars a YEAR. I also pay for the app on my car, so that I can start and what ever ANYWHERE. The nice thing about the wifi subscription… Idk if it’s needed to use in house (you can use Bluetooth at home) But I like it because you can use the device from anywhere you are. I was at the store and got my alert and was like, whhhat. I could change the temp from the store too.

So the wifi if enabled means it has internet connectivity and to maintain that remote server ability that DOES cost anova money to maintain that cloud. If it was just to use it in the house and it wasn’t one that can be controlled from anywhere with the app, then sure maybe a bit lame.

But I know we spend way more on gloves or especially the plastic bags. Sous vide is a bit more expensive of a method to use.

You also don’t need to pay for that. It still works without the app at all, and also works with bluetooth I believe without a subscription and usually in home the range is plenty in most cases.

  8. Get a joule anova is a money grab they changed the app to subscription base and ruined it

I have the “dumb” version one that uses bluetooth and an app. No middleman servers at all. I am hoping it never dies.
