Check out how tall this green onion got! Zone 5b and we are probably going to get a freeze in the next few days so I just went ahead and pulled it. I'm 5'8 for reference

Hell ya nice green onion braddah! Funny story about green onions. I spent a majority of my life chopping up and eating only the top green parts (US), then lived in Japan to learn that certain parts of the country only eat the white stalk portion. This also applies to leeks and Japanese Negi as well as regular green onions like the one you got. Moral of the story is you can eat the whole damn thing right down to the roots, but you probably want to cut that bit off 😅
