I’ve never grown honeydew before… it looks more yellow in the pictures than it does in real life. It’s a very pale greenish color with highlighter yellow spots all around it.

Knock on it and hear if it sounds hollow.

Either way looks like the vine is done so it’s time to harvest. If it doesn’t sound hollow it just needs a lil more time on the counter.

For my end-of-season baby watermelons, I wait until the stem just starts to brown and that has worked well.

The plant itself hasn’t been doing well for a while now. There used to be about a foot of two of vine past the melon but leaves and flowers were growing very small and weird and then it all became limp and soft so I cut it off before it could get moldy. The vine has been dying since then, slowly creeping up towards the melon.
