Depends on what you wanted to do. Were you aimed for perfection? Because that steak looks absolutely delicious.

Honestly, if you hadn’t mentioned being colorblind, I’d have thought you were a chef. That sear looks spot on, and the steak is making me hungry just by looking at it. You’ve got some serious grill skills, colorblind or not, that NY Strip is definitely lunch goals.

I’m regular blind. I have no idea how you did.

    Insane crust.

Grey band is a little thick, but probably worth the trade off for the crust.

Looks really good though, would smash.

The middle is green, how did you accomplish that? 😎

Looks delicious! I’d be pleasantly surprised to be served this

    I wasn’t hungry before, now I am.

Looks good to me. Maybe a little more char but I’d smash it!

I’m colorblind too and I can tell you did well.

    Looks fine.

My preference would be a slightly hotter, but shorter cook, resulting in more char on the outside, but more medium rare in the middle.

I would absolutely smash but I never use serrated knives. The torn edges really irks me.

Good job. If you find you’re having trouble being consistent or producing steak to varying preferences, look into sous vide. Virtually impossible to get unintended results.

Really nice crust. I’d say medium rare?

I’m colorblind also, I always ask my vegetarian wife for help.
