We recently moved into our dream home that came with a yard filled with beautiful gardens and plants already. I started taking care of it simply to keep things tidy and looking nice but it seems i have a secret green thumb i didn’t know about, and I’m obsessed with gardening now.

But while most of the garden spaces in the yard were left in relatively good condition, there’s this one on the side of the house that I’ve been kind of intimidated by. Today i decided to finally just go for it. There were weeds EVERYWHERE. There’s still a bunch more, i ripped them out by hand and will go over the last remaining bits tomorrow. Then cardboard and soil and mulch, the internet says.

But like… then what? 😅

I’m so new to this, I don’t know how to make the most optimal use of this space. Should I do raised planters? Just plant right into newly laid soil? Or should I do something else I don’t even know about?

What would YOU do with this space?

I’m open to literally any ideas. I just want it to be functional, organized to some degree, and pretty
