I've eaten a lot of beef rolls in my time, and this one is by far the best. It's got the right mix of Italian herbs and garlic butter on the crust, and the perfect layering of gooey cheese and tender Italian beef. They serve it with au jus, but frankly, it's so good it doesn't need to be dipped.
If you're ever near Joliet, it's worth stopping at Roc City to try the beef roll. 8" pictured, but they also have 12" & 18" rolls.
