I have recently been delving into SK snack/junk food and have noticed the word “Crunky” on several crunchy products, what gives?
I mean my context for Crunk as a term is the hip hop/dance genre which I doubt is a factor.

It’s the name of a candy bar. It’s like if the pepero were dipped in peanut butter and chocolate layers, it might be a collaboration with Reese’s and carry their branding.

Crunky is a candy bar brand (also owned by Lotte). The picture of a candy bar on each side is Crunky bar. Having a made up word lets them get a trademark while still evoking the word “crunchy”. Crunky bars are extremely similar to the Crunch bar you would find in the US and Europe.

I just thought it was some weird portmanteau of crunchy and chunky.
