Tried this place out for brunch last week, glad to see it getting a great New Yorker review!
Lovely vibe and design inside; super colorful but homey, and lots of decor showcasing the history of Harlem.
The menu is pretty small but refined so we were able to try most of it. The highlights were the [hibiscus tinga quesadillas](https://i.imgur.com/nMTL2SV.jpeg) and the masa pancakes. The tortilla con huevos were excellent too. I’d also recommend this Austrian coffee drink on their menu called an einspanner which is an espresso drink with cold whipped cream on top. The dinner menu looks great (bone marrow birria and mole negro with duck) so will definitely be back to check that out

Can confirm Cocina Consuelo is amazing! Karina showed us the jar where she was fermenting the sauce used for the shrimp dish and was so thankful but also lamenting how she used up so much sauce that she will need to stop offering the dish and make another jar of sauce that will be ready in a YEAR’s time. She and Lalo are the real thing!
