Anyone know why my lids/rings have this residue on them? Not all of them have it. They were perfectly clean going in. I just pulled them out a couple minutes ago when I noticed. I added vinegar to my canner but I do that every time

    When the rings start to rust they leave this behind. Other reasons are siphoning. Either way, just wash them and it should come off.
