I don’t cook steak that often and I burnt the onions a little bit. Is this awful?

    I cook onions quiet a bit. Ide eat this any day and don’t see anything wrong in the picture. In the future, turn down the heat on the stove a bit.

    Doesn’t look like you burnt the onions as much as maybe you needed to peel off one more layer of them that was thinner. Steak looks solid.

    Did you enjoy it? If you did it’s perfect, if you didn’t, think about what you would adjust, ps, onions are meant to “burnt”! This isn’t a hotdog!

    Looks good. I try to reduce my gray band by letting the steak come to room temp in a dry brine and throw it on grill at 450.

    Onions look great. If I ordered that steak I’d send it back, but if I was at someone’s home, I’d certainly shut up and eat it out of of courtesy.

    I suggest higher temps for the steak it’s ok to get a burn on it adds flavor

    Gray band is too big. Is still eat it but reverse swear to desired internal temp then sear. Still looks good though!
