I will say… my apples were a little tart, so I added more brown sugar than the recipe called for & more powdered sugar to frosting – it tasted too cream cheesy to me

Yo next time you make any kind of apple or peach filling, I find adding a shot of (drinkable) whisky to really bring out a ton of flavor. Added in during the reducing stage of the fillings (or with the dry sugar) is fantastic.
