haven’t tried this one but the vodka sauce and pesto options are also so good esp w the burrata! love that to-go gnocchi is a thing and it’s not horribly expensive
killerasp
wait. this is the place that gets their gnocchi pre-made from canada?
i recall the owner saying this in an interview.

Make this dish, fine, whatever, but why try to call it a cacio e pepe?

They use DeCecco pasta – saw them wheeling in boxes and boxes of the premade gnocchi at my first and last visit.

I had the pesto for dinner tonight actually. It was hot and not expensive, so I’ll say that. I just wish it had tasted good 🙁 It didn’t taste bad… it just wasn’t good, ya know?

There in love in the making of it. It’s just a big pot of gnocchi cauldron ready to be scooped and served

Man, I’m all in for the whole one-dish concept of a restaurant or food cart. Seems like other countries embrace it a lot more. I mean it makes sense right? If a place specializes in one dish, chances are it’s going to be pretty damn good. This place however, is probably the exception that proves the rule, since they’re just buying fucking pre-made gnocchi, throwing some sauce on it and marking it up to an exorbitant degree.

They also, confusingly, have 2 locations that aren’t on 9th, but are still called “gnocci on 9th”.

Where’s the best handmade gnocchi place in the city?
domob77
God this sub will find something to complain about for everything. It’s a $10 plate of food. If you want fresh gnocchi go somewhere else.

This place tried to just copy Drogheria Fine in Montreal, which is actually really good. This place sucks though.
