Got this for free from work and thought about putting some soup in it, but I’m worried because the microwave safe label is a sticker and not printed directly on the container. I lost the leaflet that came inside it and I don’t see a brand name anywhere so can’t google it.

Personally, no I would not
Yes because it says free microwave safe. So it’s free to microwave and safe
“Hand wash only” isn’t a good sign. In general non-plastic containers are best for hot food/liquids and would be my recommendation
No. Don’t trust the sticker.
It says the max temp is 200F. So that’s about what steam will be (surprised it isn’t a little higher than 212F..). IMO it’s probably fine for most stuff that is not oily, it won’t be damaged. Oils and fats get hotter in the microwave than water because their boiling points are higher, and are more likely to damage the material or presumably get stuff you might not want in your food. That said, personally I have been microwaving on glass mostly lately to be extra safe.
No
It says you can why wouldn’t you. Unless you plan on nuking it beyond 200 degrees lol
No plastic goes in the microwave, in my opinion.
[This frankly terrifying piece](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/sep/27/pfas-toxins-chemicals-human-body) strengthened my resolve to reduce any plastic touching my food – especially *hot* food – to as close to 0 as I can.
It’s microwave safe but I don’t microwave plastic personally so not for me
Heat on plastic creates a ton of microplastic particles that mix with your food. No thanks.
No, never microwave in plastic. “BPA free” often just means the BPA has been replaced by other Bisphenols like BPF or BPS which are being shown to have similar detrimental effects to BPA.

There’s slowly becoming a realisation that microwave save isn’t necessarily as safe as it sounds. I try and use glass these days or empty into a bowl.
no. cooking in plastic isn’t safe for food
