  1. You should have had homemade pizzas in the freezer. lol. Would like to see a video on making a variety of those.

  2. I gave my Instantpot away after the first time using it , I didn't release the pressure correctly and it cracked my granite countertop.

  3. Pizza list would be great. I agree. My freezers are full right now so I’m going to try a new canning recipe instead. Keep these on the back burner for later. Lol . Is it just me or can other tell whose hand is making the meals when the camera is focused on the meal prep. I’ve been watching a long time. Funny story. I had a rogue bags of cheese and breadcrumbs in my freezer and couldn’t figure out what it went with. Now I know. The lazy day Parmesan chicken casserole. Already ate the casserole though.

  4. Instant Pot Pro 6 quarts the inner pot is an actual pot with handles that can also be used on a stove (even induction). The handles keep the pot from spinning which eliminates a small annoyance. The sealing valve mechanism is automatic when lid is closed so you don’t need to remember to switch to sealing. Includes sous vide setting if you want to play with that technique. This Pro is supposed to be a little better for slow cooking than other models, but still not as good as a crock.

#1 tip is to write ‘NO!’ With Sharpie on the metal tag of the outer pot as a reminder not to add anything without having the inner pot in place.

  5. Sometimes in my Shepherd's Pie, I substitute the creamed corn with a mixture of peas and cooked diced carrots, or all three. Delicious either way. I always enjoy your videos.

  6. I have a lot of experience with a Slow Cooker and an Instapot. I can tell you nothing is better than low and slow of a slow cooker. But if you are cooking beans (from dry beans) Or You need a four hour dish done in 1 hour – Instapot to the rescue. It's wonderful. Would it be better low and slow for hours- yes! Not gonna lie. But you can make delicious meals in the Instapot. We like Pinto Beans usually once a week. I use the IP for Ribs, Roasts, Stews, Chili…it's fast but you don't get that "slap yo momma" flavor. It will still taste better tomorrow (if you know what I mean). Best I can explain it.

  7. You can cook rice, make yogurt and hard boiled eggs too. Cheesecakes can be made in the instant pot too! This is a great book: Great Food Fast : Bob Warden's Ultimate Pressure Cooker Recipes (Best of the Best Presents) Paperback

  8. Ip is amazing for rice and all the things! Pro tip… you can use parboiled rice or noodles with chicken tenderloins in any recipe and the time is 8 mins. From frozen! (Plus pressure time of couusualits my fave appliance next to the slow cooker.

  9. I bought a large pumpkin pie at Costco. I want to freeze it for thanksgiving. (November 28) It is already baked. How do I prevent moisture from collecting on top of the pie? I thought about using plastic wrap but I’m afraid it will stick to the pie and damage the look of the pie. The pie comes in a container with a raised hard plastic top that is about 1/2-1 inch off the top of the pie.
I also bought two rotisserie chickens that I plan to take the meat off and freeze the meat. I am making a chicken meat with two cans of cream of chicken soup and stuffing laid on top. Maybe adding mixed vegetables to it also. All the classic thanksgiving food in one pan. There will only be three women for the meal so baking a turkey would be too much food and more work. Any special instructions on freezing the chicken in chunks? Thanks.

  10. I’m pretty sure the new IP’s have a different vent release to prevent spraying your ceiling😂. I love my IP, I have one in each size and use all of them pretty regularly. The 6 qt is the most versatile but i probably use the mini the most because it’s so easy to pull out. And yes, you can use it to cook rice. I batch cook rice and freeze in qt bags.

  11. Hubby needs to know..is it football you do with your feet or American football? Also, I own 3 instant pots. I have the name brand so that I know the accessories will fit without problems. I recommend a second interior pot plus a silicone lid. You can dump your dinner in the pot and place on lid and store in the fridge. Tell hubby or kids when to start it in the IP. It also comes in handy for prep-you can be cooling meat in one pot and cooking chicken while your beef is cooling. I also recommend a silicone trivet with handles as well as silicone cake liner (I use for smaller sides or rice-less room in dishwasher). Egg bite molds are great if you make these. I make a double batch of jalapeno popper egg white bites quite regularly for hubby's breakfast.

  12. Lol, I currently have 2 instant pots. I have one pot for now and one for later 😂. One pot filled to the max fill line is roughly 4 souper cube trays:)❤ Love, love, love cooking beans in the instant pot. It’s not that your just cooking beans, but flavoring them as they cook. I soak the night before(if I remember, you don’t need to). I put all the spices right into the pot so I can easily make Tex mex or Italian flavored beans or make the soup and beans at the same time! I like the older name brand instant pot duos because I can use the steel liner for other things when not in use. Also having two of the same you can interchange the pots 😊 you only get the steam when you quick release which I rarely do. I love it for making mashed potatoes. Seriously mashing is so easy! Remove trivet and mash right in the pot! I will say that while I now have two, I’ve been through 4. I’m super heavy use of at least once a day for 3 years. That’s about all they’ll last… I threw the whole thing in the garbage for my first one that broke, but then got smart and kept the inner liner, the cord, plastic condensation catch and the trivet, so now I can interchange and swap pots in and out as food finishes:) I also love the pressure cooking for adding extra veggies (diced zucchini) into soups because they cook down and my kids don’t see them❤ Ohhh also wild rice and grains like barley that take forever! I make a wild rice soup that always comes out the same and I never have to worry about it not cooking through. Lol yup always still cook Jasmin and basmati on the stovetop, but brown, quinoa, farro, kamut. Turn the lid upside down or take off to fit in a drawer:)😊

  13. From a single person who owns three slow cookers and an instant pot, do it, Christy! The Instant Pot is so nice for those nights. And yes, you can cook rice in the multicooker.
