Any idea what these two black spots are? Found in ground beef from local butcher.

Looks like dried up ground. Might not have cleaned every nook in his grinder.

Grinders can often get pretty hot at friction points if they aren’t properly greased when assembling after plate/blade checks. This looks, to me, like some crispified beef. Something was getting a little warm, would be my guess.
