I thought it would be really fun to try my hand at a Disney resort soap recipe (formerly H20+)! These would make great homemade DIY holiday or Christmas gifts for any friends or family (or you, lol) who are Disney fans.

Recipe:

2.5 oz. Castor Oil
5.5 oz. Coconut Oil
15 oz. Olive Oil
9.5 oz. Palm Oil
1.5 oz. Cocoa Butter
4.8 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Lye
11.2 oz. Distilled Water
1.14 oz. Sea Salt FO
.39 oz. Peppermint Essential Oil
3 teaspoons kaolin clay in 3 tablespoon distilled water
2 teaspoon sodium lactate added to cool lye water

A few thoughts:

The entire loaf cost me roughly $23 and while it’s not an exact replica, I think I came decently close to matching the scent I was going for. I could have toned the peppermint down even more, but I think that will fade a bit as it cures. I do believe it blends really nicely with the sea salt FO. If I were to make a second attempt, I would maybe try to blend the sea salt with a eucalyptus essential oil, but I may not get the menthol effect I was shooting for & I’m not sure if it will overpower the sea salt FO.

Here are many of the items that I used. The cocoa butter pastilles have nearly tripled in price for some odd reason, but there are plenty of other places to get them at a better price.

Just a heads up that as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This is at no cost to you. I may earn a few doubloons if you make a purchase through one of the links below. Thanks for the support!
