Next to a muffaletta, the torta is the king of sammiches IMHO.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to rural LA (Laffite, actually) but you gave me a chuckle picturing a taco stand off the road in Laffite. Hell, I can almost see it now. And the dragonflies.

As a Texan, I know Louisiana does not get its flowers when it comes to food. This looks so good.

About 20 years ago I was in Houma on my first visit to Louisiana(funeral). Her grandma took us to Chili’s where she asked what soup do they have and was told chicken enchilada, she responded with I know what a chicken is but what the hell is an enchilada. If she was still alive this would blow her mind.

As a Texan, I know Louisiana does not get its flowers when it comes to food. This looks so good.
