Saw this beauty in the discount bin… worth it?

Even at $80 that’s a hard pill to swallow, my usual threshold is $50 but I know this is a quality brand.

Clean them out, that’s a great price

Save the scratch, go to an auction site and buy a KB from a better year for less. Cheers

It’s a great price but a very smoke tainted year

If you like the ‘California cherry cola’ style of Pinot KB is your winery. As others have said, beware 2020 smoke taint but otherwise go for it.

Love my end of bin finds at Binny’s!

I literally just drank a 2020 Gary Farrell Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir this weekend and the bottle I had was tasty and free of smoke taint. Obviously this one may have been harvested later or from a different block or something, just chiming in that *someone* made a Pinot sans smoke taint from this exact vineyard so it’s not a total bust.

That said, $80 for a mass market duckhorn pinot wouldn’t be my preferred spend. Plus they’re greenwashing with the whole biodynamic nonsense, it’s a commercially farmed vineyard.

Edited because I had a stroke typing that first sentence.

It’s $112 retail near me. Buy it if you like it
