Wal-Mart had Sir Charles for half price; the filets and NY Strips were deep discounted, also. So I had to get them all. About to season and freeze them. What are your favorite bag-o-spices?

You did well. Salt pepper garlic powder onion powder. Amounts vary to your taste.

I just put some salted butter in the bag along with some kosher salt
I have found I get better results putting garlic power, onion powder and pepper on after I sear. That way they don’t burn

I’m not the biggest fan of filet but for those prices I’d buy several to freeze. For seasoning I’m mainly a SP/SPG kinda guy but sometimes I get a wild hair and do Montreal or I like a little of the kinders butter steakhouse or some such mixed with their wood fired garlic. Pretty rare thought. I’ll usually toss that on some taters to roast.
