My homemade garlic fingers were a huge hit! The Miyoko’s mozzarella didn’t brown quite as much as I’d hoped, but the crust was perfectly browned and everything tasted amazing.

  1. I had no idea how easy garlic fingers were to make. I used storebought pizza dough, and made a quick homemade garlic butter with 1/4 cup of earthbalance and 2 big garlic cloves (I like it really garlicky). Slathered a thin layer of the garlic butter onto the crust, topped with the mozzarella, and baked on a pizza steel in a 550 degree oven preheated for 45 minutes. It cooked up beautifully in about 6 minutes!

It doesn’t look quite as nice as the non-vegan version usually does, since my cheese didn’t brown very well (but the crust was at risk of burning if I left it in much longer), but I can assure you it tastes every bit as good as the non-vegan version I remember eating all the time a few years back. 10/10 will definitely make again. Maybe with a bit of Violife parmesan thrown on.

Looks great 😁 I wonder if torching it would give it that classic browning 🤔
