This Key Lime Pie Trifle is a layered, no-bake dessert that combines the tangy, refreshing flavour of key lime mousse with soft sponge fingers and fluffy whipped cream. The smooth, creamy layers are balanced by the light, airy texture of the sponge, which can be soaked for extra flavour. Topped with a hint of lime zest, it’s a delightful blend of sweet and tart, perfect for a refreshing treat.

  1. Iranian limes have the best ever flavour similar to a regular lime but not exactly.
I must be in the minority because I have never ever made key lime pie- think 🤔 had a frozen one from Iceland one time.

  2. Another original. Excellent. Trifle was a family treat for us, not had for a decade. This is a great unique version.

  3. Wowzers indeed that looks so refreshing and decadent Rik what a lovely alternative to the normal pie or traditional trifle , great job thank you 🍋‍🟩Amanda xx

  4. I once left a date early with a lady cause she hated desserts. Her personality was especially off-pudding…🙄Sigh…lovely stuff Rikmeister nice twist on the classic trifle! 😋

  5. As a person that is able to acquire key limes I want to give my thanks to you for not doing what I consider sacrilege for key lime pies. You kept the sugar minimal so your dessert is not overwhelmingly sweet. Having had far too many awful pies that are sugar with a hint of lime.

  6. That's gorgeous! It would be a hit at any gathering, especially after a heavy holiday meal a light tart-sweet dessert is the perfect ending.

  7. I love lime flavoured anything…milk shake,Gin and Lime. 🙂 Trifle of course is always a great desert.Thank you. This looks fantastic.

  8. Great idea to work around the real key limes. We used to have key limes everywhere in Florida, but a disease has wiped them out.

  9. I realize real key limes are not available everywhere, but a true key lime is small and yellow. I think you have to be in Florida to get real key lime deserts. There are bottles of “key lime” juice, but save your money. We had a lovely key lime tree, but a hurricane killed it.

  10. Yum, condensed milk😆.Do we have to do the sound effect when we pipe the cream on lol. Thanks Rik🤗🇬🇧

  11. OMG. Rik this looks absolutely amazing. It’s hard to get limes here and pricey but I’m going to break open the piggy bank and start hunting some limes down so I can make this scrumptious looking desert. Nice one Rik.

  12. Rik, This is a shoe-in for a dessert idea. I love key-lime anything! You've made my day brighter! Thank you so much for uploading.

  13. Wow. I bet that tastes amazing. I've not had a Key lime pie. But I'll be trying this soon. Thanks, Rik.

  14. Quite doable and VERY affordable. Just the thing to impress the people you love; and also the people you might NOT love so much. Great upload, Rik!!!
